Stand alone complex

「Stand Alone Complex」(SAC) 是電視版《攻殼機動隊》的主題，即是由不同的單獨個體，在不約而同之下做出相類似，看上去是有組織但實際上沒有的活動。

在Laughing man 系列中荒卷所常說經由德古沙所轉述的話 "9 課並不存在著團隊合作，充其量不過是在 "個人表現" 的結果中產生的 "團隊默契" 罷了~  ''   即是Stand Alone Complex最好的注解。

SAC 之所以會出現，是因為網絡和技術發達，無論是消息的傳播速度、聚集民眾的力量、對事件的討論甚至部署行動，都在極短時間發生。當每個人對於某些事件產生相同的想法時， 偶然在網路上遇到相同看法，發生了如同心有戚戚焉的那種感覺，網絡使每一個「Stand Alone」的人都連接起來，形成副本，形成不同的社群，從而引發出不同的「Complex」。

這有點像是布希亞的擬像觀念的延伸，什麼是原典，什麼是真實與虛假的分別，隨著網路與電腦的發達，網路上流傳的照片與文字，早已不是線性的傳遞 ，藉由網路的傳播 倡導，真正有價值的理想與行動亦或是犯罪，也能夠藉由傳播，讓人們起而效尤，而原本的作者和計畫者卻不見得參與其中，網路模糊了這樣的界限，讓更多的事件得以傳播，得以實現。

就如同你如今正在看這樣的文章， 也許喚醒了你記憶中的某些看法，縱然你並不認識我，也從未看過或聽過這樣的思考方式，卻因為自己的資訊與思考得出了與我相同的看法，進而去傳播這樣的想法 ，藉由網路這樣的媒介，引發了更多的Complex....  終究在網路遊蕩中的我們， 內心裡多少正是在期待這樣的  Stand Alone Complex...

This is a theoretical mental complex that arises when groups or individuals engage in seemingly organized or coordinated behavior when really, each is acting on unique personal motivations. Stand Alone Complex, likely coined by and popularized by the anime series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, is in the series attributed to the adaptation of cybernetics into the mass public. In the series' story, Stand Alone Complex is said to describe copies with no original and is portrayed by copycat crimes with no original criminal or, in other words, an imaginary criminal. In this fashion, the complex arises as a second-order simulacra, as decribed in the work of Jean Baudrillard. In essence, an idea taken to represent reality is simulated or modelled, causing the simulation or model to no longer describe reality directly. Similarly, in a Stand Alone Complex, there is no direct real-world instigator in the observed behavior.
