  • Have you experienced?

Have you experienced?
When I was young, playing games with friends is the funniest thing in the world. I love to play in the neighborhood playground. Playground means fun and adventures.
We don’t do that anymore. I do have friends still, but all activities we do now are in very small and specific places like movies, bars, and Strarbucks. We interact with friends through different medium like phones, emails, and games. We rely on visual and virtual communities so much now that at the same time changed our life style and experiences so much.
Log on to any of the popular MMORPG. Go to the nearest dungeon. You can see a lot of people playing, talking and laughing. There are so many interactivities in games and the upcoming communities.
The immerse experience-scape
For me, the most important things are the experiences, no matter it is real or virtual. The revolution brought by rapid development of computer technology and the internet not only changes our daily business, but also change how we perceive the world.
We already live in a coherent territory connecting the virtual space and real space. When you dance in a club, you focus is on the music and the surrounding environment. Same with the Video game today. Your focus is on the continents, the game play and your friends.
Emotional archtecture
The statement of emotional architecture is an attempt understanding our lives now and rebuilding the architecture from its basic elements and ideas. At the same time, it focus on extending our experiences utilize the technology. Emotional archtecture is a program that runs by human activities. It works as an amplifier of experiences and emotions. It doesn't mean buildings are necessarily become a moving object but instead will reactive with images sound and shape.
Technology - New Materials for experiencing
The rebuilt starts from the development of communicational technologies, like computer network, TV, phones. We used to see them as only objects or tools. On the other hand, they could be integrated into our environment and interior space. Architecture now could consist of new elements such as windows and walls with sensors and be flexible to our activities. The computational and traditional materials in this way blend together, and will enhance our daily life and experiences.
System (Material) forms
In this way, while the typical understanding of 'form' is physical shape, I believe that in considering computation as a design material, concepts of form must be fundamentally re-interpreted since time, flow, and energy and other dynamic elements become the new basic architecture elements.
When the basic shape and function of basic architectual form dissolve into flows, energy, information. Forms are interpreted not as autonomous objects but as an integrated system of functions/ functionality. There is the table becoming the chair, the floor, the wall; the table is the chair, the floor, the wall simultaneously. These "multipurpose" forms are generated from simple materials but with new performances.
The new physical form will be established from the way we experience, interact with and relate to things in our everyday environments. The form will change as they connect to communication, intelligence and information flows. As technology is integrated increasingly and invisibly into our surroundings, there will be more and more fun experience and activities to add to our daily life.
Interactivities
Architectural bodies are the target of technological invasion. They take part in global networks, they are connected. They interact with databases [people, websites, buildings, tables] in realtime and their shape and content changes all the time. Architecture no longer has a static end-configuration. The visible appearance of any building will become as unpredictable as the weather.

W Hotel

UN_Studio_Galleria_Seoul_w560_01
Galleria fashion store

Here
