If we may be a little blunt, MX has had a very positive and liked reputation ever since its inception way back in Open Beta. MX has a very familial atmosphere. That's why our ally chat is our clan chat. Everyone is there for everyone else. We don't tolerate grievers or farmers in our clan.

Some may have been wondering why we have done certain things recently. Mainly our alliance war with Redemption and our participation in the weekend's Giran siege. So we'd like to take this opportunity to do some explaining.

MX has about 7 or 8 members that jumped ship together from the Sieghardt server. These guys were all 50+, not noobs that decided to reroll. Something on that server literally forced them off. People who are familiar with the other L2 servers are aware that Sieghardt is dominated by a single alliance. They own all castles, Forbidden Gateway (ideal xp spot from 49-64), Antharas Lair (ideal xp spot 64+), you name it. There is no opposition because 1) what opposition can exist remains neutral since they will be crushed if they take action, 2) the alliance owns everything - not much can be done to break their stronghold, and 3) it's too late for anyone to team up and rise against them. Sieghardt is in a lockdown situation. No pvp. No real sieges. No fun. This alliance is affectionately known as the Care Bear Alliance (CBA).

Sieghardt is also the only server that has a 9-person group who play in Antharas Lair and who are all 70+. All they do on that server is level up. The only thing that can save Sieghardt is if an inner conflict tears up the alliance. So those that still play on Sieghardt are playing a game hoping for something to happen to make it fun.

Here is how we see Erica. If this is not accurate, we ask the respective clans to please inform us.

Erica consists of a very powerful alliance of alliances known as Redemption which includes: pwn (own Giran), Exodus (own Oren), Legacy (own Dion), there, dellelves, Luminare, mergawa, megawaII, mergawaIII (?), crimsoncross, and others. This alliance is hand-in-hand with the Death's Hand alliance which includes: Malevolent, Osiris, DCN, and doombladez. And there are many other clans with them including: Dorians, DoriansII, LdA, CrazyRunners, etc. These clans collectively hold Forbidden Gateway, 3 of the 4 castles, and are making inroads to Antharas Lair and the 4th castle. There is opposition on Erica, but it is winding down. It consists of PR (which now has a dozen or so people since half of them no longer play actively), DragonLords (which includes DragonLords, DragonIords, and ShadowDancers), VN, Rehash, and Asylum.

Holiday game-release season is approaching and there are other great games to play beside L2. Some of those on the opposition side are tired of fighting an uphill battle for months on end and have lost interest.

The rest are neutral clans that are doing their own thing, waiting to level up more, get more gear and more members before they decide to make their move. The two main neutral alliances are Throe Legion and Knights Alliance and included MX. There are way to many individual clans to list.

In addition, there are many individual clans that play the game for other reasons. They have no interest in sieges, pvp, or castles.

As was shown on Saturday at Oren's siege, Redemption and Co. definitely have the upper hand. DL/PR/VN was actually not even able to get onto the siege field. Redemption had the field packed and were forceful enough to keep DL/etc from even setting up their flags to get the siege started. What's more, even with MX showing up the next day for Giran's siege, the outcome was exactly the same. This should send a clear signal, both to Redemption, their opposition, and any neutral clans who wish to have a chance at a siege in the future how unbalanced the sides are.

Here is where MX steps in. Up until our meeting on Saturday at 7PM, the word of the night was "neutral." Muhan made is distinctly clear that he did not want to jump into the action yet. His point, which was a valid point, was that this fight was between Redemption and DL/PR. MX has had run-ins with Redemption, but they were quickly forgotten in favor of staying neutral.

After the siege (or lack thereof), it became clear that the fight that was between DL and Redeption is dragging Erica along the same path as Sieghardt. If DL gives up or weakens more (they did lose a clan leader to another game recently), Redemption will take over the server. The neutral clans (KA/TL) will either stay neutral to avoid conflict or they will join Redemption to avoid conflict. Or they may decide to jump in when it is too late as is seen on Sieghardt.

MX decided after the siege to take a stance against Redemption. This is more or less against Muhan's will, but he is doing it anyway, because he knows the deadlock Erica faces and can't stand on the sidelines anymore. We'd also like to let people know that most of MX doesn't dislike Redemption and Co more than they dislike DL and that's why they had such a hard time finaly jumping in. MX does not hate the people in Redemption, but they hate where Redemption is leading the server.

A few points need to be made clear before moving on:

MX IS NOT ALLYING WITH DL

MX IS NOT ALLYING WITH PR

MX IS NOT ALLYING WITH ASYLUM OR AOD

MX IS MEANT TO BE A 3RD FORCE

MX WILL NOT BECOME GRIEVERS/PKERS/ETC. OVERNIGHT JUST BECAUSE OF THEIR CHANGE IN POLITICAL STANCE

All this means is that MX is pulling their weight to keep the server healthy.

If it wasn't for HK's doing, the TAX alliance (the now Redeption alliance) may have well taken the server by now. HK stalled them by breaking up the alliance, and for that he did Erica a great deed. They have now reformed and are much stronger than their previous incarnation.

From our perspective, Redemption are power gamers. They play to win and more power to them, but they need a significant opposing force to balance them out.

Now this same thing was said when TAX was at their hight. The difference this time is that there are other powerful neutral clans and alliances out there that can decide to jump in. The more you wait, the worse it gets.

We assume that redemption will pursue their active recrutment of individuals and whole clans in order to secure their positions even more. There is of course nothing wrong with that. But we do hope that neutral clans will join us as they see the scale being tipped more and more toward one side than the other.

Our hope isn't for MX to help DL take over the other 3 castles and sit in Redemption's seat. Our hope is that MX helps break the hold that Redemption has on the server. Whether that means KA gets a castle, MX gets a castle, TL gets a castle, DL gets a castle, Death's Hand get a castle, TalliX gets a castle, and/or Redemption gets a castle doesn't matter. What matters is no single force to hold all 4 castles and to control the high-level hunting spots.

We are not trying to say Redemption are the Devil. Regardless of what tag we wear, we are all a bunch of digital entertainment enthusiasts sitting behind a PC, keyboard, and mouse trying to reap enjoyment out of this game.

Furthermore, we acknowledge we may not have a complete picture of the situation.

We would very much like the leaders of the Redemption alliance to make a similar post giving their outlook.

It would be very interesting to know what you intend to do if DL moves on to other games and if you have any plans to avoid a similar deadlock to what exists on Sieghardt.

Lastly, we had our Sieghardt crew check up on the server recently. 6 months after the CBA took over the server, their leaders and high levels finally seem to be getting bored. It appears they are selling the CBA treasure-chest of adena on eBay and quitting the game. To reiterate, what we are trying to do is to avoid a multi-month lockdown on Erica if possible.

Looking forward to all of your comments.
